Exhibition - Ended in February 2011

The Center for Western Studies has been collecting and preserving books, archival collections, artifacts and art of the Northern Plains since 1970। The “40th Anniversary Exhibition” displays some of the more than 750 pieces in the Center’s art collection. The items on display cover a wide range of artists, media, styles, and genres and include works by Gutzon Borglum, Norman Rockwell, John Banvard, Harvey Dunn, Henry Farny, Oscar Howe, Belva Curtis, Herb Fischer, Arthur Amiotte, Nancyjane Huehl, Roger Preuss, Joel Strasser, Pamela Harr and many more. The “40th Anniversary Exhibition: Art from the CWS Collection.” The exhibit is located in the Madsen/Nelson/Elmen Galleries of the Center for Western Studies’ Fantle Building and runs through Saturday, Feb. 26.
